Review #18: The Movie: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

This movie is one of many classics about family ,adventure, and fun. I really enjoyed watching this movie many times. I know they have re-made ,but I still think classics will always be classics. I feel like classic movies cannot be re-made successfully because they are a classic. This movie involves many different characters with many different family values and backgrounds. There are some rich families and poor families and in between. The families all have one thing in common and that is to win a golden ticket to the chocolate factory. I am a lover of chocolate so I can understand wanting to go to a chocolate factory but some of these families took it way too far to get a golden ticket and ended up paying the price. The one family that did not count on finding a golden ticket ,actually got lucky and found one after buying a chocolate bar. The kid who found it picked his grandpa to go with him and together they took an adventure they will never forget through the chocolate factory.

Although, it was a struggle for all of the families to behave by the rules of the chocolate factory ,I think they all learned their lesson in the end. One of the boys who one the golden ticket ended up being more lucky than he could have ever imagined because he came from a poor family that had very little. The boy could not have been more grateful for what he got at the end of the adventure in the chocolate factory. Not every kid and their parents came out of the factory as lucky as he did. There were certain rules and restrictions for a reason in the chocolate factory ,because if you messed with the wrong thing ,it could end up life threatening or just a shocking adventure.

I think the whole movie was good but there were some favorite or most memorable parts that I remember the most. I am not going to spill the beans but I am sure everyone would love the whole movie. I will say that when all of the families get to the chocolate factory ,that is when the fun begins. I thought the actors and actresses were well played and the special effects were well presented. Being that this movie is a classic ,I think the overall movie was put together well for an older movie. There was not as much technology then as there is now ,so taking that into consideration ,I think this movie will remain one of many classics for a long time.

Review #17: The Movie: Friends With Benefits

This movie is about friends who decide to have casual sex while remaining unattached. I feel like this movie represents what people some do instead of being in a relationship ,because relationships are hard if you do not get to know the person first or go to fast by jumping into a relationship with someone. It is no secret that everyone wants love but I think some people are looking in the wrong places and approaching it in a way that it ends up not working out for them. I think some people are so desperate for love that they think they like someone ,but they are not compatible with that person enough to have something long term. I think the people that are so eager to find love and get married need to take some time and get to know themselves and then when they are not looking ,they will find the one for them without even trying. People will be pleasantly surprised by this technique to find love and happiness with someone.

In this movie, the characters try to find love other than each other ,but then find that they have fallen for each other from spending so much time together ,a connection has formed. At first neither one of them want to admit that they have feelings for each other ,but as time goes on ,they confess their love for each other by the end of the movie. After they confess their love they decide to go on real dates ,but end up just wanting to be physical with each other. I think this movie can help many people gain perspective on their relationships and the way that they approach trying to find someone. I feel like if someone wants to find someone they need to put less effort into it ,and the right person will come along. I feel like when people put too much effort into they end up finding the wrong person for them or they chase away potential life partners.

I know being Friend With Benefits is not the best way to start a relationship ,but I think being friends with someone first and really getting to know someone without any type of commitment or pressure to get married is the best way to go when trying to find a life partner. This will allow both people really get to know each other ,and either there will be a connection or there will not. If there is a connection between two friends then it will possibly get stronger and form into a relationship that each person is happy with and each person is willing to go further. If there is not a connection between two friends then either they will just stay friends or grow apart and loose touch with each other ,and end up with other people. I know there are different kinds of love stories and not everyone will have the same type of love story ,and that is ok ,because if everyone had the same type of love story ,then life would be boring and predictable. Overall, I enjoyed watching this movie ,because it is a light hearted comedy and modern love story.

Review #16: The Movie: Confessions of a Shopaholic

I took a chance and watched this movie not knowing what it was about. The title of the movie is what made me curious about it ,because there have been times where I have spent too much money while shopping on things that I later realized I did not really want or need ,but something at that time made me buy them. I feel like everyone has these moments at least once in their life ,and whether they realize it or not ,might have a shopping problem. I am usually good at not spending ,I am usually good at saving my money and spending it on something I really want and on something that I will not regret later on. I do not usually impulse buy ,so I quickly stopped myself when I realized I had a spending problem every time I went into thrift stores or any store for that matter. I thought this movie might be interesting to watch because I could relate to it ,and it turned out that it was interesting.

Not only was this movie interesting to watch ,but it also had humor in it ,it was not completely serious. I thought this movie was light-hearted and enjoyable to watch ,and I will watch it again because it is enjoyable and it takes my mind off of things that I want to spend on. I feel like this movie gives hope to people with money problems because in this movie the character is drowning in debt ,and manages to figure something out even though she faces some challenges throughout the movie before there is a happy ending. The main character seeks help in every way possible ,and even tries to avoid the problem which eventually catches up to her and forces her to deal with it. While dealing with the problem ,it made her a stronger person inside and out. I feel like the character learned her lesson in this movie ,and she is a representation of other people who are struggling with money problems and do not know what to do.

Although this movie is mostly based on one subject involving money ,it is also about friends, family ,and love. These are the things that helped the character make it through her hard time with money once she was honest about it ,and quit trying to run from the problem. If you have not seen this movie yet ,I would recommend watching it at least once. If you have already seen this movie ,I would recommend watching it again and looking beyond it being entertainment and try to get a life lesson from it ,because it might help you or someone else with money troubles even though it is light-hearted and humorous ,it could give someone a different perspective on their troubles if they have any that needs to be worked out. I know life is not like a movie ,but I feel like movies are based on real life a lot of the times ,even fantasy movies could be based on real life.

Review #15: The Movie: Easy A

I was hesitant to watch this movie because it is a comedy and comedies are not always that funny ,because sometimes they try to hard to be funny. I decided to give it a try and I ended up liking it because it shows how hard it is to get by in high school. It shows that some people in high school have it good and other do not have it as good. It shows that getting involved in high school ,whether it would be a club or just getting involved in class assignments and communicating with teachers makes high school a lot easier to deal with. Not everyone likes homework or talking to teachers and counselors especially in high school. I liked this movie because it shows that people are not perfect and they are willing to do anything just to fit in while they are at a place they are forced to be.

I thought the actors and actresses did well at playing their roles. I was relieved to find out that the movie was not trying to hard to be funny like some comedies do. I thought this movie had a lot of variety of characters ,which made the movie interesting. I thought it showed how people can sometimes get lost in high school because there are so many people there and it is around the time that people are trying to figure out where they belong ,so they try to fit in anywhere. It also showed how white lies can spread and turn into something bigger.

Overall, I thought the movie was really good and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to watch a light hearted movie about high school drama and teenagers just trying to find their way in the world. Also, it shows that everyone has something going on that you might not know about ,so it is always important to try to be as nice as you can to people because everyone is fighting some kind of battle in life ,and making fun of them or putting them down just makes things worse. It also shows that there is light at the end of the tunnel and that things can get better even if they seem to be getting worse. It just takes time and effort for things to get better.
